Popular Culture and Entertainment

Concepts such as manga, video games and anime are part of modern Japanese popular culture.
In late 1980 the family was focused on leisure activities such as trips to parks or shopping malls. Japanese society is known for being very hardworking with little time devoted to pleasure, the Japanese are seeking a form of entertainment anyway.


There is a wide variety of entertainment in Japan for example an extensive collection of music, movies, video games, manga and anime's own country, which have been widely accepted worldwide.

Another form of entertainment is globally known Japanese karaoke, which is that a person singing a song following the lyrics on the screen television.
Many traditional games are played by children as jankenpon the hanafuda that consists of playing with cards, etc.
But board games are those that are most played, some are the go is a strategy game with cards and shugi which is a Japanese variant of chess.




  

Clothing

In Japan have found two types of clothing, traditional and modern.
In the traditional clothing is the kimono that is used by women, men and children on special occasions.

It is a colorful and long garment that is made up of a fund, a lining and upper.
Other garments used by the Japanese are the yukata which is a light summer kimono and hakama which is a ceremonial garment.

The male garment jinbei used as pajamas.
The junihitoe female garment similar to a kimono used by the rich.

Culture

Tea Ceremony
The Japanese tea ceremony was first is held by the matcha tea brought by the monk Eisai on his return from China. The tea ceremony is influenced by Zen Buddhism, using a small group of guests in a quiet environment.



Japanese Paint

Japanese painting is an art achieved in the country for long. The brush is became a traditional writing tool, and extending it for use as an artistic tool was probably natural.



Sculpture
The bronze and other metals are considered the most important. Other materials such as stone and ceramics are formed extremely important roles in the history of Japanese sculpture.

  
Ikebana 
Ikebana ( , ikebana?) is related to the floral arrangements. Is managed to win international acclaim for its focus on the harmonious use of color, rhythm and elegantly simple design. Ikebana is used in Japan.




Japanese Gastronomy


A standard Japanese meal always are consisted of a cup of Japanese rice (gohan) and shushoku, and accompanying tsukemono (pickling), was a cup of soup and a variety of dishes okazu as fish, meat, vegetables, etc..



ichijū-sansai is considered a traditional food. Raw fish and white rice are cooked in old the traditional food.



The Osechi, the Botamochi,the Sekihan and the soba are cooked in special occasions.






 

The shō-yu,the miso and the dashi are used like condiments in all the food.







The noodles and the sushi are eaten a lot in Japan. The Calfornia roll is made like sushi.




The Candies and desserts are bought and consumed by Japanese. The Pockys are consumed by the young Japanese.
 



 
The sake and the umeshu are considered like alcoholic drinks.




The tea is drunk with frequency.

Japanese Tradition

Geisha
 Geisha originated is entertainment professionals, originally most were male.
geisha is used their skills in various Japanese arts, music, dance and storytelling.

Sumo
